The steps

  1. Ask for accessWe let people in a few at a time.
  2. We let you inYou get a notification.
  3. Open the account hereName, address, birthday, SSN, a photo of your ID. About 5 minutes.
  4. Link a bank and depositMoney lands in 1 to 3 business days. Then your groups trade it.

What you need

  • US resident, 18+
  • Photo ID
  • Social Security number
  • A US bank account

What it can and can’t do

  • The account lives at Alpaca Securities, a FINRA/SIPC member. bagbot never holds your money.
  • Your SSN and ID go straight to the broker. bagbot does not keep them.
  • The application asks for options approval. Without it, the account cannot trade bagbot plays.
  • Pause or close it any time from Accounts.

Questions

Does BagBot hold my money?

No. Your cash and your positions stay in your own brokerage account. BagBot only sends orders to it.

Can BagBot move my money?

No. It can place trades. It can never withdraw or transfer money.

How do I stop?

Pause trading or remove the account from Accounts at any time. It takes effect right away.
